Our Mission

Face in Water non-profit provides customized swimming and water safety education to reduce drownings and create awareness about the importance of learning how to swim. We empower communities by teaching a safe, healthy relationship with the water.

Drowning is Preventable

According to the CDC…

🐠 Drowning is the LEADING CAUSE of childhood unintentional death for children ages 1-4.

🐠 Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1- 14.

 
 

Eleuthera Outreach

Face in Water collaborated with One Eleuthera Foundation in The Bahamas to help with their learn-to-swim camp. We are going back in June! Read more…

 

Honduras Outreach

Face in Water collaborated with Colin’s Hope to provide swimming and water safety at the Cornerstone Foundation in Honduras. We taught swimming in the ocean all day, and educated Mission families and community members at night. Read more…

 

Africa Outreach

Face in Water sponsored a 10 day pilot project in the islands of Ssesse Kalangala on Lake Victoria. We taught 121 adults and 309 children swimming lessons. Read more…

Swimming Saves Lives Foundation

In 2018, Face in Water received a grant from US Masters Swimming- Swimming Saves Live Foundation. We partnered with Coronado Masters Swim Association to teach adults how to swim, then transition them into masters swimming.

Autism Speaks

In 2014, we received a grant from Autism Speaks. We were able to provide 80 swimming lesson scholarships to individuals with autism.
